Made a mistake

I pressed the wrong button and sent a blank post to the system so I am editing it to make it make sense. I have not really got the hang of this system yet but I will try to sort things out.

Where am I now?

I have only just decided to have a go at a blog and am trying to incorporate one into my teaching so that I can use it to empower students taking my module and also get their feedback about how things are going.

I found this article by Stephen Glogoff an excellent starting point

Glogoff, S. 2005. Instructional blogging: Promoting interactivity, student-centered learning, and peer input. Innovate 1 (5). http://www.innovateonline.info/index.php?view=article&id=126 (accessed July 25, 2005).

We are working on the development of on-line activities to be used in a blended learning mode with first year undergraduate students.

The activities are based on four key questions:

  1. What are the benefits of doing the activity on-line?
  2. What is the activity and how does it work?
  3. How does the activity promote student centred learning?
  4. How do you and the students know that the activity has promoted student centred learning?
